Whole Blood DNA extraction kit provides a fast, easy method to purify Genomic DNA for downstream processes. Genomic DNA can be purified from the whole blood that is treated with anticoagulants other than heparin. The kit combines the selective binding properties of silica gel-based membrane, with the speed of microspin. The sample is lysed under highly denaturing conditions, to ensure release of intact DNA. Buffering conditions are adjusted to provide optimum binding of the DNA to the column and the sample is loaded on to a spin column. DNA binds to the membrane and the contaminants are efficiently washed away using two different wash buffers. High quality pure DNA is eluted in a special buffer, ready for immediate use or storage.
