(Product Code 1624162) Phenol saturated is phenol in liquid form and contains 10% water. It is a clear and colorless, liquid, free from any oxidized impurities like quinone. It is free from enzymes Dnase, RNase, protease and is suitable for molecular biology work.

Phenol Saturated is easy to handle than phenol in solid form as it does not require melting. It can be easily equilibrated with Tris HCl buffer pH 8.0 for molecular biology work. A mixture consisting of equal parts of equilibrated phenol and chloroform : isoamyl alcohol (24:1) is frequently used to remove proteins from preparations of nucleic acids.
